Kathy Tippin, Quilling Artist
Quilling 101  Saturday, July 25 (11a-1p)
Let Kathy show you how fun and easy it is to create dimensional quilled papercraft projects.  Perfect for cardmaking, scrapbooking and assemblage decor.  Students will create a techniques sample chart, a snowflake and a floral card project.  Students should bring their quilling supplies if they have them scissors, duo adhesive, quilling tool and a ruler.  This workshop is a core class for upcoming quilling classes to be held this fall.

Maria Clark, Polymer Clay Artist
Buttons, Buttons & Emphoria   Sunday, June 14 (Noon-4p)
Come meet the STSY new polymer clay artist and the fun you can have incorporating polymer in your papercraft, scrapbook and mixed media projects.  We will have samples in the shop shortly.  Class is $25 includes all supplies & lunch (you may want to bring your own kit and some of your favorite clays).

Margaret Nowycki, Papercraft Artist
Build A Basket         Saturday, June 27 (11a-1p)
Margaret returns to the Artisan Boutique for a fun summer workshop on paper basket making.  This is an orgami folding technique that uses 12x12 paper to make a spectacular and sturdy 6" basket to use as a gift box, a storage box or just a catch all!  After Margaret shows you how easy it is to make this papercraft treasure, you can "bling" your basket with the wide variety of embellishments that will be available to choose from.  The rest of the time will be spend making as many baskets as you can assemble within the workshop time.  The average student will make 3-4 baskets and the over-achievers 4-6.  Learn to make various sizes, paper layer and then bling those things!  What a fun afternoon.  Class size is limited so sign up early.  This is a great class for teenagers!  All supplies, snacks and beverages will be provided.  (bring your favorite scissors and adhesives just in case)  $25./student

WANTED: Gently Used PaperCraft Products
Do you have old stamps or scrapbook supplies just laying around unloved and unused?  Do you have that first cutter or those old sizzix dies that you bought before you purchased your cricut and now they are just taking up space? Well, bring them to the STSY Boutique and we will consign them for you. Your orphaned product can be re-sold to a family who will love them and use them instead of just sitting in a box in the back of the closet taking up space. This program has been very successful and profitable for everyone who has participated since October! The store brings in a steady stream of new customers and hard-core collectors and your product will move quickly and all you will have to do is pick up a check for bringing it in!
